Accessibility Statement

Unbreaking is committed to creating spaces that are as accessible and welcoming as possible. We recognize that access needs vary, and we approach accessibility as an ongoing practice rather than a finished checklist.

Our Approach to Accessibility

We strive to:

  • design our website with readability and ease of navigation in mind

  • use clear, straightforward language

  • offer community spaces that are mindful of sensory, emotional, and physical access needs

  • provide options for participation, including observing rather than actively engaging

Physical Space Accessibility

Our in-person gatherings currently take place in an older building. While we wish this were different, there are some physical limitations we want to name transparently:

  • All entrances involve stairs. There are no ramps or step-free entrances at this time.

  • Restrooms are located on the first level and are not wheelchair accessible.

  • Doorways and interior spaces may be narrow or uneven in places.

We understand that these limitations may make in-person events inaccessible for some people, and we want to be upfront about that. We are committed to exploring more accessible options when possible and appreciate your understanding.

Event & Gathering Access

Unbreaking gatherings may include:

  • quieter, low-pressure environments

  • invitational participation rather than required sharing

  • attention to scent sensitivity and sensory considerations

  • flexibility around movement, posture, and taking breaks

Because each event and space is different, specific accessibility features may vary. We encourage participants to reach out ahead of time if they have questions or needs around access.

Communication & Support

If you have access needs, questions, or requests for accommodation, we welcome you to contact us in advance. We will do our best to respond with care and transparency about what is possible.

Ongoing Commitment

We know that accessibility is not static. We are open to feedback and continue learning how to make Unbreaking spaces more inclusive and supportive.
