Accessibility Statement

Unbreaking is committed to creating spaces that are as accessible and welcoming as possible. We recognize that access needs vary, and we approach accessibility as an ongoing practice rather than a finished checklist.

Our Approach to Accessibility

We strive to:

  • design our website with readability and ease of navigation in mind

  • use clear, straightforward language

  • offer community spaces that are mindful of sensory, emotional, and physical access needs

  • provide options for participation, including observing rather than actively engaging

Physical Space Accessibility

Our gatherings currently take place in our new community space. We want to be transparent about accessibility so people can make informed choices about attending.

The portion of the building we use is all on one level, and there are no stairs required to enter our space. Restrooms are located within the space and are on the same level as the gathering area. However, the bathrooms do not currently have grab bars or other ADA support features. Doorways and interior pathways are generally open, though the building was not originally designed with full accessibility standards in mind.

We recognize that these limitations may still create barriers for some people. We are committed to continuing to learn and improve accessibility wherever we can, and we appreciate your understanding as we grow.

If you have specific access needs or questions, please feel free to reach out to us before an event so we can do our best to support you.

Event & Gathering Access

Unbreaking gatherings may include:

  • quieter, low-pressure environments

  • invitational participation rather than required sharing

  • attention to scent sensitivity and sensory considerations

  • flexibility around movement, posture, and taking breaks

Because each event and space is different, specific accessibility features may vary. We encourage participants to reach out ahead of time if they have questions or needs around access.

Communication & Support

If you have access needs, questions, or requests for accommodation, we welcome you to contact us in advance. We will do our best to respond with care and transparency about what is possible.

Ongoing Commitment

We know that accessibility is not static. We are open to feedback and continue learning how to make Unbreaking spaces more inclusive and supportive.
